Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sage Speak mobile application (“the app”) published under Timete. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. The service
Sage Speak provides informational answers grounded in primary source texts of selected spiritual traditions. The app does not issue religious rulings, legal advice, medical advice, or professional counselling. Content is generated with AI assistance and may contain errors — always verify citations in authoritative editions.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to consent to these Terms in your jurisdiction and to use the App Store in your country. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the app only with a parent or guardian’s permission.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices and billing periods are shown in the app before purchase. Payment is processed by Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled according to Apple’s policies.
Free tiers include a limited number of questions per week. We may adjust limits or pricing with reasonable notice where required by law or platform rules.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful, harmful, or harassing purposes
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, security, or payment systems
- Reverse engineer or scrape the service at scale
- Misrepresent app output as official religious authority
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Primary source texts cited in answers remain subject to their own copyrights and traditions. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control.
6. Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANSWERS ARE THEOLOGICALLY OR SCHOLARLY COMPLETE.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON APP CONTENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR EUR 50 IF YOU USED ONLY FREE FEATURES.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. It forms part of these Terms.
9. Changes and termination
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. We may suspend or discontinue the app with reasonable notice where practicable.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
